The devastation caused by the earthquake in Haiti is terrible. Here are some simple ways to help:

• Text HAITI to 90999 to donate $10 to the Red Cross. You will receive a reply, then reply YES to confirm. The majority of cell phone carriers are waiving charges for these text messages.
• Can’t give $10? How about $5? Text YELE to 501501 to donate $5 to Yele Haiti. Wyclef Jean doesn’t lie.
• Donate directly to Doctors Without Borders, UNICEF, the Red Cross (or give blood, always a good idea), or OXFAM to support relief efforts.
• Leave a comment with The Pioneer Woman, Savory Sweet Life, Thursday Night Smackdown, or Saffron and Blueberry and the bloggers will donate money to various charity for each comment posted.

It takes so little time and could help so many people. Through the $10 texting campaigns alone, the Red Cross has already raised $5 million.
